FTCC Retain Bob Martindale Memorial Trophy Again |
|
Following on from last year's victory in a bowl out FTCC retained the Bob Martindale Memorial Trophy in a more conventional fashion. Electing to bat first FTCC made a solid start thanks to a second wicket partnership of 51 between James Dunn (31) and Ryan Armitage (23). The middle order struggled due to tight Sandal bowling from Dan Hunter and Will Craik but some big hitting at the end from Jamie Robinson (24) and Ricky Harvey (22*) saw FTCC post a challenging 181 for 8 from their 40 overs. In reply Sandal lost wickets at regular intervals with Jamie Robinson (2-24), Ricky Harvey (2-7) and Michael Bates (3-20) reducing Sandal to 54 for 8. A spirited partnership of 73 between Andy Noble (40) and Dave Martindale (22*) saw Sandal close well short but with a much more respectable 127 for 9. Click read more for full scorecard. |
